dad.
Got to spend the majority of Fathers Day with my Dad. This is probably the first time in six years Iโve been able to do so.
:
My Dad set the tone of what a Sunday morning should be: slow & simple, reading the New York Times front to back page; lox & bagels, a fresh pot of coffee (I donโt drink coffee, but sure do appreciate the smell + associate that warm, heavy scent with early mornings), occasionally NPR in the background, and preferably spent outside on the patio.
:
My Dad always holds the paper up high when he reads it. When I was younger, I used to see how much I could I read on the back page of what he was reading. Had such a #doitbetterish moment this morning when that page happen to be this one ๐๐
:
Thanks for teaching me a greater sense of awareness of the world within which we live through reading, and being my support during those big moments like learning how to ride a bike, drive a car, and dive into those big Atlantic Ocean waves. Love ya, Dad.
