Amidst COVID-19, though we are finding new ways to connect with friends and family, we’re not able to connect to new, fresh faces. Research suggests there’s a positive impact when we connect with strangers, both for our own and others’ wellbeing. As humans, we are inherently social creatures who are made happier and healthier when connecting with others. So let’s make it happen.

Strangers unite! Join in on some free fun during a virtual Meet Cart Session on an upcoming monday afternoon/evening. Sign up here: MEETFUL MONDAYS AT THE MEET CART

But, what’s The Meet Cart?

Created as a mobile structure where strangers meet, greet and play, The Meet Cart is where unfamiliar people become unexpected pals. In a world of great disconnect and divide, Betterish has created this pop-up social space were simple games and activities bring people together in fun, meaningful and engaging ways.

It’s been to creative events, festivals, birthday parties, museums, schools, parks, donut shops and bakeries. Now it’s coming to a virtual space.

How will we meet strangers in a virtual space?

We’ll be playing a game called 7 SECOND STORIES. In a small group of four or five, participants will be prompted to draw something…in only 7 seconds. Join in and see how scribbles and scrawlings can spark funny, powerful and interesting conversations, particularly during these tough and tender times. Snag your spot today.

emily is a skilled facilitator of joy! it’s challenging to help strangers create authentic connections in person, never mind over the internet. but alas, emily does it with ease, grace and humor. i highly recommend trying out her virtual meet cart session...but probably only if you like having fun.

hands down: the meet cart is my new favorite bar! seriously though. i’ve met so many incredible people, bonded with strangers, and learned that we are all so much more similar than we often think. emily is doing something very special that the world desperately needs right now

i recently did a brave act and signed up to participate in a meetful monday. it was a super fun thing to have on my calendar and a neat way to spend a little time getting to meet new people in a different and positive way. i told my group of strangers-turned-friends that i was really proud of us for trying something new and putting ourselves out there for an hour. try it out during your self-quarantining days! thanks, emily for always bringing something fun to be a part of

i was lucky to participate in the first virtual meetful monday a few weeks ago. i found it to be invigorating, exciting, and a true joyous hour of my day. it was a very fun way to shake up my week during a time when shaking things up feels necessary, and it truly helped me to forget about some of my worries. emily is an amazing guide and makes one feel safe and supported when navigating a zoom call with strangers!
