WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
needle
thread
scissors
your patch!
THE WHIP STITCH
How-to:
thread your needle with a piece of thread
knot both ends of the thread together
pin your patch to the fabric (if possible)
poke your needle through the back of both fabrics and pull the thread until the knot catches
make a stitch by pushing the needle through the outside of the fabric you are sewing on, near the edge of the patch; pull until the knot catches
repeat steps 4 & 5 about 1cm away from your last stitch until each side of your patch is sewn
make a knot at the end of your thread

THE RUNNING STITCH
How-to:
thread your needle with a piece of thread
knot both ends of the thread together
pin your patch to the fabric (if possible)
poke your needle through the back of both fabrics and pull the thread until the knot catches
poke the needle back down through the fabric next to where you just came up and pull until it catches
repeat steps 4 & 5 until each side of your patch is sewn
make a knot at the end of your thread
