The Meet Cart Turns Two!
The Meet Cart turned two on Monday and it really tickles-me-somethin-sparkly that this compassionate cart has gotten more traction rolling its wheels virtually in the past five months alone than when it was wheeling its way around Denver (though I rolled it out of the house yesterday as the above photo suggests; just wanted to make sure the wheels still work on this thing).
I've been neglecting to share updates from The Meet Cart as I once was, but it's been pretty cool that both productive and celebratory stuff has been going down weekly & regularly in zoom rooms worldwide. like...
CELEBRATIONS - birthdays, bachelorettes, baby showers, graduations parties, retirement parties----all of the yay day's 🎉
HAPPY HOURS - for companies, for organizations and for community groups. Hey, I get it: zoom fatigue is so very real. We shake it up at The Meet Cart with an interactive game that gets people in a different kind of happy hour headspace
MEETFUL MONDAYS: LET'S TALK ABOUT RACE - Since June, every Monday afternoon, The Meet Cart has been holding space to talk about racism. There are no experts or educators in the zoom room, just everyday folks hoping to share, learn, unlearn and grow comfortable in the uncomfortable. It's been imperative to keep these conversations going, and it's been awesome that these sessions have been filled week after week with people looking to unpack, explore, or expand their perspectives. a lot of what's been shared can be found in The Betterish Anti-Racist Resource Room.
A recent participant told me that their Meet Cart experience made the world feel smaller and more human. Yes, all of these offerings are different, but the major thread throughout every Meet Cart experience is rooted in making more meaningful connections.
