The Sassport Project

sassportproject

Head still in the clouds/Ashley Joon fluers from Saturday's Sassport Project...and I'm deeming it okay to float in that goodness for a bit longer before moving on to the next thing.

If you’re not following me on IG/haven’t seen me spamming about Sassport the past three weeks, read all about it here: The Sassport Project.

I loved working on this project because at the heart of it, it was about community building: it was about supporting local womxn + BIPOC artists and small businesses, it was about safely going on a local adventure and connecting in a creative format, and it was about inspiring + uplifting each other during our strangest summer of socially-distanced days.

Thank you Babe Walls artists for sharing your artistry, your time, & being so willing to jump on board. shoutout to alexandrea_pang for fueling this badassery right before kickin’ off more badassery later this week (p.s. have you snagged your tix for Babe Walls?)

Thank you Kate and the entire TARRA team for saying YES to this idea and co-creating something I can’t wait to collaborate on this year after year.

Thank you to all the retailers for making space for this to unfold within your spaces. You’re all so cool, so kind, and you make me love Denver even more because of your existence.

Thank you Roxann Blue for understanding our vision and wrapping it up into a stellar design that is now the Sassport logo. And helping me choose a color scheme bc omg that is so hard.

Thank you Stu from Ink Lounge Denver for printing these Sassports & upping the cool aesthetic factor by 1000%

Thank you Sweet Green for providing big bowls of deliciousness for the artists. so. much. YUM.

Thank you 5280 Magazine for supporting this project.

AND sending a massive burst of gratitude to all of you who participated in this venture. Safety was our top priority and we are so grateful that everyone respected that: for wearing masks, for maintaining distance, for being patient if there was a line, and for spending a Saturday afternoon exploring the creative awesomeness of Denver.

(guhhh seriously can’t wait to do this again next year. But hey no need to wait till next year to get in on this greatness. Babe Walls is just 2 days away! it’s FREE, but u still need to reserve a spot due to COVID regulations. snag your tickets here)
